Small team. Big impact. Front of house and behind the scenes.

Five nations are represented in the team that works day after day for the well-being of the guests in front of and behind the scenes at Stoffel. With motivation and professionalism, they work hand in hand and ensure that operations run smoothly. Many have been there for years.

The core of the team consists of owner and managing director Matthias Eisenmann-Schubert and partner Markus Giger. Thomas Krättli is responsible for the kitchen. Christoph Boller is responsible for the administration.

Matthias Eisenmann-Schubert

Matthias Eisenmann-Schubert (southern Germany), owner and manager: He came to Zurich several years before starting the Arosa project. Training as a cook, hotel management school in Switzerland. Many years of experience in gastronomy in various countries and on several continents.

Markus Giger

Markus Giger (Chur), partner: As a young man he helped out in his parents’ restaurant and hotel in Rheintal, St. Gallen. A graduate of the Belvoirpark School of Hotel Management. Senior positions in large gastronomy enterprises in Zürich and Zug.

Thomas Krättli

Thomas Krättli (Untervaz), executive chef: After his apprenticeship, his professional career led him to several years in Brandis Castle in Maienfeld, Klein Waldegg Restaurant in Chur and Hotel Stoffel in Arosa.

Christoph Boller

Christoph Boller (Zurich highlands), administration: Studies in German literature in Zurich and Berlin. Marketing and PR with music companies. Manager of an international opera and concert conductor. Then a career change to gastronomy.
